That vibrant, morpho blue.
This is a morpho butterfly. Look at that gorgeous, pure blue. Butterfly wings are actually made of tiny scales.
No, no, closer.
There we go. Now, these scales are made of very tiny structures that cancel out certain colors while reflecting others through virtue of the space between these structures, as well as the structure itself, as follows:
That’s how you end up with that shimmering, shifting color.
